dessert first

Hellooooo!  Thought I would catch you up on some exciting news and updates for shows and classes!

First, the exciting news (like having dessert first)....my first ever online teaching class is launching March 31 this year!   I'm making myself accountable by posting it right here and anyone who reads my blog or FB page will be on the list for an early bird discount!

The great thing about producing an online video is all the extra techniques and bonus material I'll be able to add that I wouldn't have time for in a one day class so even if you have taken this class (see pictures below) you'll have access to so much more and for a lot longer!  I'm thinking of teaching this class online:

It's one of my most requested classes so I thought this would be a good one to start with.  You'll learn my step by step process of constructing a locket from scratch that opens and closes, how to make your own bezels, cut your own metal wings, make a charm holder and of course how to solder.  There will be  bonus material for this class which will include:

-wire wrapping techniques to make and attach the necklace using store bought components as well as made-from-scratch components like attachments for rhinestone chain, clasps, sturdy jump rings and connectors.
-3 different ways to make this piece that include:  effective ways to open and close the locket, resin application and directly soldering onto to the wings
-decorative soldering

I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions??

Another class that's in the making are CROWNS!  Here are pictures of ideas:

From now until March 21 I'll be teaching classes and vending at GLITTERFEST.  Click the links below to see where I'll be!

Thanks for taking the time to come by!

Aloha robin! Congrats on your upcoming online classes, this is exciting as it is the only way I get to take classes and this format has been a huge blessing for myself, even though I never get off this island I still feel part of the artistic world! I have followed u for years so I look forward to taking a class with u! I hope your cage dolls find their way online, aloha, angi in hana

Just LOVE everything you do Robin and you keep getting better and better every time I visit and see your new work. What a lovely class! I will see you at GF in a couple weeks! I'm vending again. It's been a long time and I'm excited. Sharing a table with a dear friend of mine. See you soon.
